Brian Madigan Drummy has always been two things- a performer and a nerd.
Brian was born and raised in Old Town Orange, California, a town constantly occupied by film sets. He paid little attention to them growing up. Locked away in his room, Brian spent endless hours devouring every cast recording, book, sitcom, and old Hollywood movie he could. It shocked no one when he announced at 10 he’d one day become an actor (or a paleontologist, his back-up plan).
Brian spent his teens singing, dancing, and acting anywhere he could, including a stint working as a skipper on the World-Famous Jungle Cruise at Disneyland. He became one of the first students to attend the Orange County School of the Arts as a middle-schooler, graduating from the Musical Theatre Conservatory in 2006. After graduating with a BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University in 2010, Brian moved to New York to pursue a career as a stage actor.
Brian toured the world dancing in the choruses of classic musicals like Damn Yankees!, Man of La Mancha, and My Fair Lady. He originated roles in multiple Off-Broadway premieres of new work. He worked an array of odd jobs between gigs, including “portraying” a dermatologist at pharmaceutical conventions and serving at some of Manhattan’s best (and most notorious) restaurants. Brian worked extensively as a production assistant, interning for companies like Elevator Repair Service, Fault Line Theatre, and TWC. He co-founded his own production company in 2015 alongside Jason Modica called the Rushline Company, and successfully co-produced his first world-premiere play in 2016 at the Secret Theatre in Queens, NY. Brian began working as a volunteer teaching artist with Artists Striving to End Poverty in 2016, and has facilitated workshops on storytelling at schools in New York, California, and India. He has also held teaching positions at the Orange County School of the Arts and CalArts, and is a former member of the faculty at the American Music and Dramatic Academy's LA -based On-Camera Acting program.
Brian recently graduated from the MFA Acting program at the California Institute of the Arts, and lives in east Los Angeles. In his spare time, he watches movies, sings, and cooks really incredible Italian food.
